To start a career in research

One of the main missions of the University of Liège is to conduct research and train researchers.

As an international university, ULiège covers all fields of research, from science and technology to health sciences and the humanities and social sciences. The PhD degree is regarded as a training program of excellence, marking the start of a young researcher's career.

ULiège has around 2,000 doctoral students, all of whom are involved in research projects that extend far beyond national borders through their publications and participation in conferences, symposia and training courses.
