On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the ULiège Alumni Reunion in Montreal brought together Alumni and guests on the occasion of a ministerial mission to Canada, for a moment of exchange and conviviality with the ULiège community.
Some Alumni had travelled from near and far, sometimes after several hours on the road across Quebec, to take part in the gathering. The diversity of profiles present, bringing together graduates of all ages from numerous faculties and professional fields, greatly contributed to the richness of the discussions.
Anne-Sophie Nyssen, Rector of the University of Liège, opened the evening by highlighting the importance of maintaining strong connections with graduates abroad and keeping the ULiège spirit alive far beyond Liège. Pierre Duysinx, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, then emphasized the essential role of Alumni as relays and ambassadors of the University around the world.
The event also featured a short presentation by Adrien Mancuso, an Alumni in Performing Arts and Partnerships Coordinator at the CINEMANIA Francophone Film Festival in Montreal, who presented the upcoming edition of the festival dedicated to Belgium and the cultural collaborations developed between Montreal and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
Discussions continued in a friendly atmosphere during a networking drink, encouraging reunions, new encounters and exchanges between generations of Alumni and representatives of the University.
Many thanks to everyone who attended for their participation and enthusiasm, which help promote and strengthen the ULiège Alumni community internationally.
